So yesterday approximately 10 am in the valley the sun is warming up the park as my friend Heidi and I pull up to start a morning run. To warm up we walked at a fast and steady pace 2 times around the track that circles the park. As far as I can tell the park is about 2 football fields big. (not positive on this though) Then we started to jog. We did this a couple times then walked and repeatedfor about 7 laps. I'm not quite sure about the distance that we tracked but we went for a full hour.
During this time we caught up on life as well as shared about our fascination with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's completely addicted. LOL
On our 4th lap we passed a baby bird that had been pushed out of its nest to learn how to fly. Unfortunetly he wasnt flying but the baby bird kept trying. It got me thinking about life and how we all go through that. I remembered about how I moved to Vegas at 18 years old on my own. I wasn't quite sure how to do it but I figured it out. It also got me thinking how throughout life this process repeats. Since we aren't given an instruction manual on life sometimes we just have to take a leap out of our nests (our comfort zone so to speak) and make it happen and we don't always have a mama bird pushing us. This marathon is like that for me right now. I've taken a leap for a good cause and now I have to make it happen.

So what is it that you haven't taken a leap on? JUMP! :)
